This is where I talk to one of the most interesting humans I know, Zane Plattor. For those of you who haven’t been given the pleasure to meet Zane, he is a kind and gentle soul that originates from Miami, Florida. Zane and I became good friends in High School where we bonded over just being goofy and enjoying life. I sit down with Zane to discuss his big move to Los Angeles and his new experiences in the one of the most bustling cities in the world. We talk about all the benefits of living in California; why Terminator 2 is the best movie ever; his first time driving, and why he believes he’s still learning (aka he might be a crappy driver, so watch out angelenos). I sat down with actor, director, lover (maybe idk), and all around creative guy, Alex Vergel. He tells us what it was like growing up in Japan, Hawaii and California, and why is wasn’t always easy to fit in. As he put it “I was too American for Japan and too Japanese for America.” Using film and tv as an escape, it inspired him to work professionally as an actor and director, and he shares the visceral experiences he’s had as an artist. Also, we discuss our obsession with films from the 80’s and the peak of Nicolas Cage. We agree score music is the best music, and we talk real books (the comic-book kind of course). Ladies and gentlemen, I had the pleasure of sitting down with a very talented individual, Gilbert Louie Ray Montoya. Gilbert has been performing as a musician for years with his band in Los Angeles performing mixes of Americana, Bluegrass, Folk and Country. But I brought him on the show to discuss his first solo album which debuted last year. We talk about what inspired him to make the album (mostly drinking, the women in his life, traveling with his band, and being one of the few rare locals from Los Angeles.) This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with a very cool cat, Mr. Benjamin Michael Theobald (made up name probably…) This guy and I realized we had so much in common and might have accidentally become best friends on air (you can hear the blushing). We discuss tattoos, we discuss Kentucky, we discuss Hollywood, and if you think it won’t get anymore American than that, you better think twice my friend, because we sum it all up with “Back To The Future!” The greatest trilogy in all history (after The Hangover series of course). Hello Hello! I’m back with a brand new episode, fresh conversations with my good friend (and neighbor) Sam May! And we start off running; Sam digs up stories about experimenting with drugs for the first time in High School and how his mother ended up finding out about it (thanks a lot Pam!) He shares the story of “Claws,” his childhood pet turtle that run away to his not so smart neighbors house. We discuss the perks and details of working in production sound for film and television. I recently sat down with my very good friend Julio Macias. We discuss Julio’s parents early life in Mexico City and some of the struggles they had to overcome as young adults, including his mothers brave involvement at protesting the Olympics held in her home town in Mexico in the 1960’s, and why Julio is proud to call his mother a Feminist. He shares a very intimate story about how he and his family were once held at gun point when he was just a child, and the decision his parents made to aim for a safer life in the United States. We find out about Julio’s embarrassing first day of school in America, and the one friend he found solace with named Kennith (shout out to Kennith!) I ask Julio on his experiences with working on his breakout role, Oscar ‘Spooky’ Diaz, that he portrays on the Netflix series “On My Block.”  He then tries his hardest to discuss a scene from the film “Kate & Leopold,” but  we realize we’ve accidentally gotten to drunk to make any damn sense.
