19. Joshua Jean-Baptiste & Frank Hernandez “You Gotta Have Grit”

Ladies and Gentlemen quarantining all over the world. Gather round and tune into a brand new, germ free, fresh episode of Conversations From A Room. And what a special episode it is, for I get to sit down with not one, but two very excellent, artistic, and inspiring human beings. Long time friend Joshua Jean-Baptiste, and new best friend Frank Hernandez. The best part about talking with these guys is that we’re all just big clowns who are super passionate about the arts. We talk about our process on how to communicate to the audience, the seriousness of a good joke, and the grit we need   in order to push through. Also we discuss the importance in speaking the “truth” in any art form. It’s the only way in really connecting to the audience. And as always, we go hard on film and the movies that matter to us. Whether good or bad, there’s always something to discuss. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.   Love, Kris   Ad: Bernie/Bots: Every Flavor Movies “Change t...

18. Josh Gilmer “Go Big or Go Home”

Today I get to sit down with an all around amazing and talented dude, Josh Gilmer ladies and gentlemen! Josh and I right away had so much to discuss considering we are one of the same. We both have an incredible passion for the world of cinema and the the art of performing. Growing up in a small town Josh new he was ready to break out of his shell and hit the big leagues. We’re talking Hollywood baby! Acting wasn’t the first thing Josh imagined he’d be taking as a career path but he fell in love with the craft and has been pursuing it ever since. We talk about the pressure working on film sets, preparing for a role, committing to your work, and completely trusting yourself to get the job done even if doubt carries a heavy toll. Because at the end of the day its “Go Big or Go Home”…. (walks away in slow motion while car explodes in the background without looking back… even though you really want to)   Love,   Kris   P.S. Make sure to catch Josh in the new pilot of...

17. Matt Linton “You wanna hear a funny stand-up story?”

Men, women, and children… gather round for a new story of great joy and despair, of great cleverness and stupidity, and of course of great conversation and complete waste of time! Put your hands together for my guest today, Matt Linton. We have a nice fun chat about the world of comedy, something we both hold close to our hearts. Comedy is the reason why Matt got into entertainment in the first place. Starting off as a straight laced business man, Matt realized working in comedy was waaaaay better (obviously). He realized right away not only was comedy something he truly loved to do, but that he was pretty damn good at it. Matt started doing sketch comedy and improv at USC where he was able to explore his funny side, making his presence in the comedy community, and pursuing it ever since. We’ll discuss our favorite live experiences, why comedy is important in life, what are families probably think of us, and why the fuck everyone listens to Joe Rogan… So welcome to a new day folk...

16. Jon Young "You Shouldn't Change For Hollywood"

I sit down with a gentlemen and a scholar, Jon Young. We discuss the true nature of hard work, confidence, and foolery. Jon has always knew he was going to be in some way or another a man at center stage. Whether it was on a baseball diamond or in front of a live audience, Jon is no stranger to crowds of people cheering him on. He’s had a lot of ups and downs in his life but nothing has ever really given him the excuse to ever stop pursing his dreams. I had the pleasure of hearing Jon’s story and his views on Hollywood, performing, film, and why he laughs in the face of fear. (Yes… that’s what said. Don’t at me bro) So enjoy this new episode with actor, comedian, writer, and producer Jon Young.   Ad: Special guest Mike Micheals stops by to promote his new product “Java Good Mornin’”   Theme by @gilbertlouieraymusic instagram: @jonyoungactor   @kristianlugo

15. Noah Gray "America's Sweetheart"

A man that means so goddam much to me, Noah Gray ladies and gentlemen! This guy right here has been a part of my life for so long that I consider him a brother (even though I would never want him in my family because every year during our adolescence he ruined Christmas for me). We discuss his life in and around the world of politics and his career as a man of “The Press.” We eventually talk about fun stuff, don’t worry. Like Truman Capote dropping in as a special guest to promote “Love Handles.” (yes, that’s what I said)   Also if anyone knows how to get in touch with Seth Rogan, DM Noah or I. We’re serious… Shout out to Max Eisenberg who’s birthday was the day this episode was recorded.   Happy Birthday Max! 14. Maxwell Hamilton “You did this to me”

Oh my god, its Maxwell Hamilton. Kids take notes because this man is a gem. Max and I get really serious about the real things, and then real about the serious things. Like ADD medication, loneliness, and the pursuit of living as an adult child. We discuss, our love for theater, and the art of performing BABy! And not to mention his work as a musician, creating his first music project and calling it “DRFTRS.” He does it all folks!  He’s insane! *pulling chunks of hair out of head.  Love,  Kris  Ad: Special guest David Chaboil stops by the show to promote his Essential Oil shop, “Oils on Oils,” located in Silver Lake.  Theme by @gilbertlouieraymusic instagram: @maxwellhamilton  @kristianlugo

13. Sean Earl “On a Porch in Idaho”

I got Sean Earl in the house to talk about his life, his music, and his love for danish sausages. Sean, born and raised in sunny southern California, shares some stories about meeting his brother for the first time, how his life experiences influenced his artistic creativity, his entire history of music and the transitions he’s made into the musician he is today. Oh, and we also discuss the importance of comedy, and why he says Marvel trumps his love for Star Wars. Sean also performs one of his original songs, “On a Porch in Idaho” as a very special treat. So hold on to your shorts kids, this is  Conversations From A Room. -Advertisement: From the makers of “Kleenex” brings you the all new “Katnex.” It’s like Kleenex... but for cat piss.  instagram: @seanbaton  @kristianlugo
